Acceptable Use Policy

Profile Analyzer is designed to help developers grow their careers and help recruiters find great talent. We expect all users to use the platform responsibly and professionally.

You May:

  • Create one personal account per individual
  • Connect your authentic GitHub, LeetCode, and LinkedIn profiles
  • Share your profile with recruiters on your own terms
  • Participate respectfully in community discussions

You May Not:

  • Create fake profiles or impersonate others
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data
  • Attempt to manipulate metrics or game the system
  • Harass, spam, or send unsolicited messages to other users

Data & Privacy Overview

Your privacy is fundamental to how we've built Profile Analyzer. We collect only what's necessary to provide you with valuable insights.

What We Collect

  • • Public data from GitHub, LeetCode, and LinkedIn (only what you authorize)
  • • Analytics data to improve your skill assessments
  • • Account information (email, name, profile photo)
  • • Usage data to improve platform features

Your Privacy Controls

  • Profile Visibility: Your profile is private by default. You choose who can see it.
  • Recruiter Access: Recruiters can only view your profile if you've granted explicit access.
  • Data Export: You can download all your data at any time from your settings.
  • Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Recruiter Usage Guidelines

We've built Profile Analyzer to facilitate meaningful connections between recruiters and developers while respecting developer privacy and consent.

Access Request Process

  1. 1. Search & Discover: Use our search filters to find developers matching your requirements
  2. 2. Request Access: Send a professional access request explaining your opportunity
  3. 3. Wait for Approval: Developers decide whether to grant access to their full profile
  4. 4. Professional Engagement: Once granted, communicate respectfully and clearly

Fair Usage Limits

  • • Maximum 50 access requests per day
  • • No automated bulk messaging
  • • Revoked access means no further contact on this platform
  • • Multiple spam reports may result in account suspension

Developer Rights & Controls

You have complete control over your data and how recruiters can interact with you. These rights are non-negotiable.

Right to Privacy by Default

Your profile is private until you explicitly choose to share it. No recruiter can see your data without your permission.

Right to Grant and Revoke Access

You can grant access to specific recruiters and revoke it at any time. Revoked access is immediate and permanent.

Right to Data Portability

Export all your data, analytics, and insights in machine-readable formats (JSON, CSV) at any time.

Right to Be Forgotten

Delete your account and all associated data permanently. We'll complete this within 30 days of your request.

Our Safety Measures

Profile Verification

We verify GitHub, LeetCode, and LinkedIn connections to ensure profile authenticity and prevent impersonation.

Fraud Detection AI

Our AI analyzes activity patterns to detect manipulation attempts, fake metrics, and suspicious behavior.

Report System

Easy reporting tools for spam, harassment, or policy violations. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Enforcement & Violations

We take policy violations seriously but believe in progressive enforcement. Here's how we handle different situations.

Progressive Enforcement

1. Warning

First-time minor violations receive a warning email with education about the violated policy.

2. Temporary Suspension

Repeated violations or moderate severity issues result in 7-30 day account suspension.

3. Permanent Ban

Severe violations (fraud, harassment, data scraping) result in immediate permanent account termination.

Appeal Process

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you can appeal by contacting support@profileanalyzer.com within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by a different team member.

Policy Updates

We may update these policies as our platform evolves. We'll always notify you of significant changes.

How We Notify You

  • Email Notification: Major policy changes are emailed to all users 30 days before taking effect
  • In-App Banner: A banner notification appears in your dashboard highlighting changes
  • Policy Page Update: This page displays the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Change Log: Detailed changelog available for transparency
